After a full week of college football action, the second community-based college football poll from the folks at SBNation is officially here. The site-wide results can be found in the graphic below:

The most notable shift from the preseason poll performed almost a month ago, at least for Northwestern fans, is the exclusion of the Wildcats. Previously, they had been ranked all the way up at 21st, but a stinker in Palo Alto more or less eliminated them from consideration.
Other big movers were Auburn, who leapt all the way from 18th to 8th, Stanford. who replaced the Wildcats to make it in at 24th, and Miami, who also dropped all the way out. The top seven, including Clemson at the top, remain unsurprisingly unchanged.
As a reminder, SBNation’s new FanPulse for its college community serves as a way to make your voice heard with regards to both the national college football landscape and Northwestern specifically. Each week during the season, voters will continue to fill out a poll ballot while also answering some questions about the Wildcats’ progress.

Our poll had Northwestern all the way up at 17th last week, but followed suit with the main poll in dropping the Wildcats entirely. From there, our sample of Northwestern fans followed suit on pretty much every major decision, although the ranking of Stanford at 24 was a continued one rather than being a change.
Otherwise, Wildcat fans managed mainly to avoid overrating Week 1 results too much, keeping things relatively similar to that of the preseason rankings with a few understandable exceptions.
