Northwestern’s first home game of 2020 might represent its best shot at a Big Ten win season.
The slumping Wildcats are at home this afternoon to face Fred Hoiberg’s Nebraska squad that has had a rollercoaster season. The Cornhuskers’ sit at a lowly 139th in KemPom, but are .500 in conference play with nice wins over Purdue and Iowa. They began their season with back-to-back losses to UC Riverside and Southern Utah.
Meanwhile, Chris Collins and his banged up team still remain in search of their first conference win. The Wildcats have hung in games despite a few key injuries, but shaky offense and late-game struggles have doomed NU throughout its current five-game losing streak.
