Boo Buie is back.
The true freshman point guard will be available tonight after missing the past five games with a lower body injury, the program announced in the buildup to Tuesday evening’s contest against Maryland. He last played in the team’s December loss to Hartford.
The Wildcats have gone 1-4 in their five games without Buie, who appeared to be finding his form as a newly minted starter before going down with an injury. The first-year guard scored double digits in his last three games of action, including breakout 25 and 26 point nights against DePaul and Michigan State respectively.
Buie has averaged 10.8 points and 2.6 assists in the 12 games he’s played in the season. He only started in two of those twelve games.
The point guard will be available tonight, but not start the game, according to team sources. Tipoff against Maryland tonight is at 6 p.m. CST from Welsh-Ryan Arena. The game will be broadcast on FS1.
