On Saturday, Northwestern and Wisconsin will face off in top-20 battle that likely will decide who wins the 2020 Big Ten West title. On Friday, the Wildcats announced what they’ll be wearing for the game.

With the selection of a purple jersey, purple helmet and white pants comes both bad and good news for superstitious Northwestern fans. The bad news first: according to The Daily Northwestern’s Ella Brockway, the ‘Cats have lost each of the last three times they’ve worn this uniform. The good news, though, is that the last time the Wildcats sported this combo against Wisconsin in 2014, they pulled off a 20-14 upset.
