Coming off a monumental win vs. Wisconsin last Saturday that propelled NU into the conversation for College Football Playoff candidacy, the Wildcats will face Michigan State in East Lansing on Saturday. Per usual this season, they announced their planned uniform for the contest on Friday via Twitter.

This is a relatively rare uniform combination for the ‘Cats, who have worn a white helmet, white jersey and black pants together only twice since 2012 — in their 2019 loss at Indiana and their 2016 loss at Ohio State.
The Daily Northwestern’s Ella Brockway noted that the helmet’s decal — a black “Block N” outlined in purple — has never been featured on a white Northwestern helmet before. So, as the Wildcats continue a historic season, they’re once again mixing things up aesthetically (if ever so slightly).

Record in the W-B-W: 0-2
Games worn: Indiana (2019), Ohio State (2016)
Think the black/purple decal on the white helmet is a new one, though! https://t.co/AdsnW76dJv
Northwestern’s matchup agains Michigan State kicks off at 2:30 p.m. CT on Saturday and will be televised on ESPN.
