The Sky Team has its newest member.
Northwestern picked up its second defensive back commitment of the 2021 class today, securing three-star Ore Adeyi over the likes of Boise State, Nevada and others.
Adeyi becomes the 14th member of an already strong class for the ‘Cats, joining the likes of Najee Story and Mac Uihlein on the defensive side of the ball.

Adeyi is listed as a 5-foot-10, 175-pound defensive back and comes from Mansfield Legacy High School in Mansfield, Texas — the alma mater of former NU safety Jared McGee. According to 247Sports, Adeyi ranks as the 124th best corner in the country.
The three-star prospect initially committed to Boise State on November 18, but de-committed just days later after the ‘Cats offered him a scholarship on November 20. On Friday, he officially announced his commitment to Northwestern.
With the addition of Adeyi, 247Sports currently has Northwestern’s 2021 class as the 53rd best class in the country, as well as 11th in the Big Ten. It doesn’t quite compare to the 2020 class as of now, but it’s certainly solid.
