The ‘Cats are ranked. In fact, all of the ‘Cats are ranked. With men’s basketball entering the AP Top 25 rankings at 19th for the first time since it was ranked 20th in November 2017, all three active Northwestern teams are simultaneously ranked in their respective top 25 polls for the first time ever.

NU (6-1, 3-0 Big Ten) won three conference games last week, two of them ranked to get off to its best Big Ten start since the 1967-68 season. The Wildcats’ next test comes Tuesday night in Iowa City against the No. 10 Hawkeyes (7-2, 1-1).

Chris Collins’ team won three B1G wins in a span of a week for the first time since 2017 and recorded two ranked wins in a week for the first time since the 2012-2013 season.

The AP women’s basketball top 25 poll had not yet been released at time of writing, but Joe McKeown’s 15th-ranked squad added a comfortable win over Eastern Kentucky.

Football (No. 14 CFP/No. 15 AP) takes on Auburn in the Citrus Bowl on Friday.
