A Sunday matinee between teams with two of the three worst conference records.

Northwestern (6-19, 1-14 B1G) has just five games left before the Big Ten Tournament, and the Wildcats haven’t won since January 11. They’ve managed to lose in a variety of ways, and Tuesday’s loss at #7 Maryland was simply the result of a talent divide.

Minnesota (12-13, 6-9) handled NU last time the two teams met in Minneapolis in early January. The Gophers opened up a lead of 20+ points on their short-handed opponents before Northwestern made the final scoreline respectable.

Minny has struggled of late, losing three in a row and five of their last six, and they’ve fallen off the NCAA Tournament bubble. Still, the Gophers, led by star big man Daniel Oturu (19.6 PPG, 11.4 RPG, 2.7 BLK), present a challenge for these young Wildcats looking to get off the schneid.
