This week’s recruiting tally is up to two.

Northwestern added three-star defensive lineman Barryn Sorrell as its second commit of the week in the class of 2021. The Louisiana native chose the ‘Cats over a long list of schools including Purdue, Indiana, Vanderbilt, Missouri, Baylor, Boston College and Tulane.

According to 247sports.com, Sorrell is the 21st overall prospect in Louisiana and ranks 50th in the nation at his position.

After a breakout junior season, with 44 total tackles, four sacks and a forced fumble, Sorrell saw his offer list grow and was offered by the ‘Cats at the end of April.

The 6-foot-3, 250 pound lineman is the 10th member, fourth three-star prospect and second defensive lineman (alongside Najee Story) of the Wildcats’ 2021 recruiting class.
