The best mid-range player in college basketball discusses last year’s magical season.

NCAA Womens Basketball: Big Ten Conference Tournament-Iowa vs Northwestern Marc Lebryk-USA TODAY Sports

In light of a global pandemic and the absence of sports, we thought it would be a great opportunity to try something new. This is Wildcat Banter: an interview based podcast series with a new Wildcat athlete on each installment. Jackson Boolbol and Lucio Vainesman co-host each episode, taking a deep dive in the lives of Northwestern athletes and addressing their craft at hand.

In our fourth installment, we chat with Northwestern women’s basketball guard Lindsey Pulliam. Her accolades and stats speak for themselves as she has been one of the most consistent stars and dominant scorers in program history.

We talk about the success of the team last season, the feeling of losing their chance at the NCAA tournament, and what to expect for the upcoming season with everything up in the air.

We also touch upon her basketball relationship with Kobe Bryant and how she models her game around this “Mamba Mentality.”

Stay tuned for updates, with a new installment coming next week, and comment your guest requests, questions and suggestions. Make sure to follow @JacksonBoolbol and @Luchvain and take the Banter to twitter!
