Ahead of its pre-Halloween matchup against Minnesota, Northwestern announced that it would be rocking an all-new uniform combination. The outfit consists of white helmets and pants along with black tops.

Saturday’s game will be the team’s first appearance in its black (non-gothic) jerseys this season. Meanwhile, NU’s white pants have only been worn once in 2021 in the ‘Cats’ win against Indiana State. The white helmets have been worn twice so far: in the win against Rutgers as well as the road loss to Duke.
Northwestern’s latest set is its first time dropping a new combo since Nov. 23, 2019, the last time they took on Minnesota at Ryan Field. The ‘Cats will hope their new uniforms bring a better result than that game when they take on the Golden Gophers on Saturday at 2:30 pm CT at Ryan Field. The game will be televised on the Big Ten Network.
