There was a presumptive positive test in the pre-game testing window, and there was not enough time to run a confirmation test.
Northwestern was already in Columbus and had already gone through shootaround. It’s a stark reminder that nothing is guaranteed during the pandemic season. The Big Ten has built time into the season schedule for makeup games, and the conference will work to reschedule the game if possible. There may be opening during the first week of March, but the conference has several games to potentially reschedule.
The Wildcats’ next scheduled game is Wednesday at home versus Nebraska.
