A dominant 21-14 victory over the Ohio State Buckeyes in Columbus on Thursday brought the Northwestern Women’s Lacrosse Team to 10-0 on the season. Additionally, they rose to No. 2 in this week’s polls.
Their perfect regular season was scheduled to finish with one last game against the Michigan on April 18 at home. However, due to a postponement of their matchup with the Wolverines, they instead met the Buckeyes for the second time this season.
Offensively, the story continued to be the same as it has been all season — Junior Izzy Scane dominated to the tune of eight goals, bringing her total on the season to a whopping 64.

Senior Lauren Gilbert and Graduate Student Sammy Mueller added four each, while seven ‘Cats in total scored.
Defensively, Northwestern was too much for Ohio State, despite holding a mere one-point lead going into the second half. Northwestern totaled 42 shots and converted on 21 of them. Mueller was strong on defense as well, attacking 5 ground balls. Gilbert added four turnovers.
The Wildcats will get the week off before playing their final game of regular season play in Ann Arbor against the Wolverines. After that, they will begin their post-season play in the Big Ten Tournament, where their regular-season title has earned them the No. 1 seed and a first-round bye.
