To get everyone fired up (or perhaps depressed) for Thursday's Big Ten tournament opener, test your knowledge of the starting lineups NU has used for each of their opening round games.

John Shurna 2nd team all-conference for both the coaches and media, Jeremy Nash makes the all defensive team, Drew Crawford named freshman of the year by the media. Only real surprise was Bo Ryan not getting coach of the year.

NU Football Team Parties in the USA

I'm not doing DM, but the Wildcats, as well as some guy wearing a hot dog costume, are, so here's video of them dancing along to what was my previous favorite song (I've moved on to Ke$ha). Credit where credit is due, NBN is covering the bejeesus out of DM. The reason I was checking their site is because a friend of mine was telling me that he performed a set at the show 20 minutes ago, and that the video is already online. Pretty crazy.

(ed note: I know nothing about lacrosse, but, 5 time national champs! if anybody knows about lax/consistently goes to games, we should talk.) Do people read these? Anyway, if you're in Evanston watching the Indiana game on TV, be sure to head over to Lakeside Field (by SPAC) for the NU Women's Lacrosse team's home opener against #5 Georgetown. 1pm. You should be there!

yeah, so I've been planning to start doing this for a while, and now that Rodger has started tweeting I figured I'd jump on the bandwagon. Of course, I didn't realize that through the magic of SB Nation, my posts will go out on Rodger's twitter feed, so you'll be getting two tweets every time I post a story. My advice? Read them twice.

Just kill me now.

It's February 21, 2010, and, I, at the request of some of the powers that be at SBNation, have a twitter. Follow me, or whatever it is that you do. I sorta hate twitter, but plan on using this twitter for everything that makes this blog what it is: NU sports, occasional jokes, and of course, random hip-hop videos. So if you like the blog... read it, I guess.

We play Illinois tonight.

I'm putting this fanshot up as a public service announcement: students, we have wildcards that let us get into games for free, yes? Well, word is, that's not necessarily true tonight. According to friends of friends of friends, there is a limit on the amount of students that will be allowed in tonight for the first time I've ever heard, and that's final, and if you get there too late, have fun watching at Buffalo Wild Wings. If this is true, I'm a little mad at the athletic department, but hey, it should be crazy tonight, so leave early.

Bring Your Champions, They're Our Meat

Not to take anything away from Roger here, but a small reminder to occasionally check out "Bring Your Champions, They're Our Meat," an irregularly published NU blog that this week brings us mediations on Keanu Reeves' QB names in movies, houseboats, and the death of Portuguese, English, and Spanish explorers.
