Remember Duke point guard Greg Paulus? Three year starter? 6'1, completely unbearable? Here, perhaps some video will jog your memory:
Perhaps you remember him from his one and only run in with Northwestern sports, from his one-year stint as quarterback for Syracuse, when he threw for a career-high 346 yards in a 37-34 victory - one of only four the Orange had when Paulus is at the helm.
Well, between all that, I'm going to go out on a limb and assume you don't like Paulus very much. Well, sirs, I have some rather bad news for you:
I'm hearing that Greg Paulus will likely join #Northwestern coaching staff under Chris Collins. Woah.

Uhhh, well, yeah. So we were hoping still-as-of-yet-unnannounced-new-Northwestern-basketball coach Chris Collins would bring all the cool parts of Duke - you know, the winning lots of games despite recruiting from an academically elite pool, the packed-if-not-completely-modern stadium - and not so much the Greg Paulus aspects of Duke when he took over. But alas.
For what it's worth, Paulus' post-Syracuse career has been respectable. He was an assistant at Navy and has spent the past two years as a video coordinator under Thad Matta at Ohio State, reportedly aiding a lot in the development of Aaron Craft as a player - you can certainly see the similarities in their games.
